FAST WOK RESTAURANT INC

So since my move to SoBro South Bronx or NoMa North Manhattan depending on who your hanging with, I have been completely underwhelmed with the Chinese Takeout scene up here, I don't know what it is but I'm starting to believe Brooklyn natives just have better taste buds. Well anyway a few weeks ago I came home and opened the door and a bunch of take out delivery menus rained down from where they had been placed in the hinge. I am still on the lookout for the... I'm assuming 7 foot Chinese man who stuck 12 of the confetti menus in my door. Fast forward to New Years Eve and being dead beat from scouring the city for a last minute birthday gift I called up Fast Wok and placed an order for the family. I have a large family that includes 6 children 3 of the teenage variety so please don't think I have a bottomless pit for a stomach.The order arrived within 30 minutes- which was a miracle for so many different dishes, and to my surprise the delivery man arrived with the food and a small gift bag and shouted Happy New Year!!In the bags wereGeneral Tso's Chicken - best I've had from the neighborhood and it was free purchase of $25.00 or moreBourbon Chicken - which my daughter enjoyedLemon Pepper Wings - which were just fried chick wings with Lemon Pepper Sauce not badChick Wings French friesChicken Wings fried riceSugar Donuts - Similar to the ones from the Chinese Buffet, surprisingly goodChicken With Broccoli - needed more sauce but not badShrimp With String Beans - very goodChiccharones de Pollo with fried rice - it wasn't your typical Spanish Chiccharones but it was a decent surpriseAnd a cute winter white dog hat - the Happy New Year giftThe food was like I said good. The fried rice could have been a little bit fluffier seemed slightly undercooked but all in all I think it will be the go to Chinese food place for delivery when the kids feel for takeout.P.S. While I wasn't able to take a picture of the food ......maybe next time I did get a picture of one of my kids in the New Years gift and the menu. Enjoy!!!
